Ankit received his Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Communication Engineering from IIIT Allahabad, India. Thereafter, he worked as a Hardware Engineer for 2 years in Juniper Networks focusing on high-speed digital design and FPGAs. He joined the Micro- and nanosystems MSc. programme at ETH in 2015, specializing in Microfluidics. During this period, he developed a microfluidic platform for large-scale screening of C. elegans and digital barcodes in droplets for his semester and master’s thesis, respectively, at the deMello lab. He started his PhD in 2018 with a focus on optofluidics for directed evolution of enzymes.
