Dr. Alessandro Sorrenti

Alumnus

Alessandro Sorrenti got his PhD in Chemistry from the University of Rome “La Sapienza” in 2008. He then moved to Barcelona where he joined the groups of Prof. J.M. Ribó, at the UB (2010-211), of Prof. R.M. Ortuño at UAB (2011-2013), and Prof. D. Amabilino at the ICMAB-CSIC (2013-2014) as postdoctoral researcher. In 2014 he moved to the Institut de Science et d'Ingénierie Supramoléculaires of Strasbourg, where we won a Marie Sklodowska-Curie IF fellowship. Since April 207 he joined the deMello group at ETH. His research interests have ranged from the investigation of chirality in amphiphile and porphyrin assemblies to the study of kinetically controlled self-assembly (e.g., by using hydrodynamic flows or in microfluidic systems), and of enzyme-mediated dissipative supramolecular polymerization.
