Dengue is a major public health concern, particularly in tropical and subtropical regions. The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that over 50 million people are infected annually, a number expected to rise due to increasing global temperatures that expand the habitat of the mosquito vector. I am developing a reliable and deployable point-of-care diagnostic device for dengue virus infections, intended for use in regions with limited or no laboratory infrastructure.
