Droplet microfluidics: From simple activity screening to sophisticated kinetics

David's droplet-based microfluidic platform for the acquisition of transient kinetic data of enzyme-catalyzed reactions comes out in the April issue of Chem. Compared to conventional equipment, our platform reduces assay volumes by up to six orders of magnitude and allows up to 9,000 reactions to be screened per minute.

Christoffel Badenhorst and Uwe T. Bornscheuer from the Department of Biotechnology & Enzyme Catalysis at Greifswald University have highlighted this work in a Chem Preview Article.
